Job summary

Philips is seeking a Clinical Application Specialist in Cardiovascular Informatics and Radiology Informatics to serve as the clinical expert supporting the Cardiology and Radiology Informatics portfolio. You will translate clinical needs into product requirements and collaborate with global R&D to guide software development and validation.

You will lead clinical validation activities, train field teams, support data collection and analysis, and stay current with imaging informatics advances.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Radiology, Echocardiography, Cardiac Care Technology, Biomedical Engineering or related field.
• Medical degree with radiology or cardiology specialization is acceptable.
• Experience translating clinical needs into product requirements and validating software.

Clinical Application Specialist – Cardiovascular Informatics & Radiology Informatics

Help shape the future of healthcare informatics by partnering with clinical experts and R&D teams to deliver innovative solutions that improve imaging workflows and patient care.

Your role:

Serve as the clinical expert supporting the Cardiology and Radiology Informatics product portfolio, collaborating closely with global research and development teams to define, refine, and validate clinical requirements. Translate customer, product management, and marketing needs into clear clinical requirements that guide software development, verification, and product releases. Lead and support clinical validation activities, expert testing, defect classification, risk assessments, complaint analysis, and product quality initiatives. Build strong relationships with customers, validation sites, and key clinical stakeholders while representing the voice of the clinician throughout the product development lifecycle. Deliver training and clinical guidance to field application specialists and customers, while staying current with advances in healthcare imaging and informatics. Assist Clinical Affairs/Medical Office with the planning and execution of clinical collaborations and studies, assisting in protocol development, data collection, and analysis, ensuring robust scientific methodologies.

You’re the right fit if:

You’ve acquired 7+ years of hands‑on experience in radiology, with strong knowledge of cardiovascular imaging workflows and clinical practice. You have a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Radiology, Echocardiography, Cardiac Care Technology, Biomedical Engineering, Ultrasound, a Medical Degree with radiology or cardiology specialization, or a comparable qualification. Your skills include translating clinical requirements into product requirements, clinical validation, defect assessment, customer collaboration, and working across multidisciplinary software development teams. You have a strong understanding of radiology, in special cardiology specialties and diagnostic modalities such as echocardiography, X‑ray angiography, electrocardiography (ECG), computed tomography (CT), magnetic resonance imaging (MRI), or related cardiovascular workflows. You are customer‑focused, communicate effectively in English, thrive in a collaborative international environment, and can bridge clinical and technical discussions.

Preferred:

Experience with Philips solutions such as Intellispace Radiology/ISPACS, VuePACS, IntelliSpace Cardiovascular, Xcelera, Cardiovascular Information System (CVIS), or Philips Ultrasound Workspace; familiarity with Picture Archiving and Communication Systems (PACS), Vendor Neutral Archive (VNA), Digital Imaging and Communications in Medicine (DICOM), Health Level Seven (HL7), Healthcare Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) standards, and Agile software development methodologies. Experience participating, managing or as an author/co-author for documentation and publications resulting from clinical studies and other research endeavors. Travel up to 15% globally is expected.

Onsite roles require full‑time presence in the company’s facilities.
