Job summary

Manipal Hospitals in Bengaluru invites a senior clinician to practice across liver transplant licensed centres, including Old Airport Road and Yelahanka, contributing to high-volume transplant and HPB care with a dynamic team.

You will manage general hepatology patients and participate in multidisciplinary care, academic collaborations, and the development of a transplant hepatology fellowship program, with active research and publication.

Qualifications

• DM Hepatology or equivalent from a reputed institute.

Responsibilities

• Practice across Manipal Hospitals' liver-transplant-licensed centres in Bengaluru, including Old Airport Road, Yelahanka and Yeshwanthpur, and other affiliated units.
• Management of general hepatology patients — MASLD, MASH, autoimmune hepatitis, metabolic liver diseases, etc.
• Clinical management of decompensated liver disease, acute and chronic liver failure, and acute-on-chronic liver failure.
• Multidisciplinary liver transplant care — living and deceased donor, adult and paediatric — and transplant oncology.
• Advanced therapeutic procedures: DPMAS, therapeutic plasma exchange, CRRT.
• Collaborate across licensed liver transplant centres in Karnataka to strengthen and standardize transplant programs.
• Academic/research remit: help establish a transplant hepatology fellowship program, and publish in high-impact journals.
• Environment: Joins a high-volume, established liver transplant and HPB programme with a young, dynamic multidisciplinary team and active academic/training culture.
