Climate & Installation Technology Engineer

Job Summary

• We are seeking a Climate & Installation Technology Engineer with 5–8 years of experience in climate engineering, HVAC systems, mechanical building services, or installation technology. The ideal candidate will have proven experience in building‑related mechanical installation projects, particularly in heating, cooling, ventilation, air treatment, and sanitary/plumbing systems.
• This role focuses on remote engineering and calculation for Dutch building‑related projects, involving specification‑based project requests that require accurate interpretation of technical scope, client specifications, and practical installation requirements. It is a delivery‑critical role combining technical engineering with project calculation and estimation support, rather than pure design engineering.
• You will be responsible for preparing technical calculations, quantity take‑offs, component selections, and design support packages, while contributing to project budgeting and cost calculations. A strong understanding of HVAC design principles, load calculations, ventilation concepts, and installation methods is essential, along with experience in sustainable solutions such as heat pumps, hybrid systems, energy‑efficient ventilation, low‑temperature systems, and VRV/VRF concepts.
• The role requires the ability to read and interpret technical drawings, P&IDs, layouts, specifications, BOQs, and scope documents, while ensuring compliance with relevant standards, safety requirements, and building regulations (Dutch/European standards are a strong advantage). Experience working in AutoCAD, Revit, or BIM environments is preferred.
• You should be highly structured, detail‑oriented, and comfortable working within strict deadlines, review cycles, and correction rounds, balancing quality and efficiency.
• Experience in remote engineering or back‑office support models for international or European projects is a strong plus, as you will work closely with offshore teams to deliver reliable and scalable engineering and calculation support.

What Will You Do?

• Review incoming project requests received through the internal coordinator/Dutch‑side project team.
• Analyze specification‑based project requests that can be executed fully remotely.
• Engineer and calculate mechanical‑installation scope for building‑related installations.
• Prepare technical design support and calculation input for:
• Climate systems
• Heating systems
• Cooling systems
• Ventilation and air treatment systems
• Air conditioning systems (including VRV/VRF where relevant)
• Sanitary systems
• Gas/water/plumbing installations
• Prepare quantity take‑offs, component selections, and technical project assumptions.
• Support project budgeting and cost calculation for specification‑based requests.
• Deliver engineering and calculation output within the agreed process timelines.
• Respond to internal feedback and correction requests within agreed SLA windows.
• Coordinate with Dutch‑side calculators/engineers as the primary contact point.
• Ensure technical work aligns with applicable standards, quality requirements, and practical feasibility.
• Contribute to continuity and scalability of the client’s calculation and engineering capacity.
• Support knowledge transfer, process improvement, and repeatable quality in outsourced project delivery.
