responsAbility in Mumbai is seeking a Climate Finance Analyst to join the Credit Analysis team. You will focus on debt investments in climate infrastructure, combining portfolio credit monitoring with investment support in a growth-oriented, impact-focused environment.

Ideal candidates have CA or PG in economics/finance, 2–4 years of related experience, and strong modelling, Excel and data driven analysis skills. English proficiency and initiative are essential.

Qualifications

• Chartered Accountant or Post Graduate degree in economics, business administration, finance, or a related field.
• 2–4 years of relevant consulting or financial/investment experience.
• Preferably experience in the renewable energy or climate finance space.
• Aptitude for data-driven corporate credit analysis.
• Strong financial modelling, accounting, and presentation skills.
• Proficiency with spreadsheets, AI models, and preferably some coding or Power BI skills.
• Business proficiency in oral and written English.
• High degree of initiative, reliability, and willingness to learn.

Responsibilities

• Support credit assessment and monitoring of the existing portfolio of assets.
• Manage the collection, review, and processing of financial data used in credit assessments of portfolio companies.
• Review rating scorecards, financial and operational monitoring, and conduct ad-hoc analysis.
• Liaise with a wide variety of investment support functions to assist in risk monitoring and investment processes.
• Assist the team in building reliable systems to automate the credit monitoring process.
• Provide support to senior team members on transactions, including commercial due diligence, financial analysis, financial modelling, and transaction closure.
• Support the investment team with research on various markets, technologies, and investment opportunities.
• Liaise and cooperate with various teams across different office locations.

About this Role

The Credit Analysis team at responsAbility is seeking a motivated Climate Finance Analyst to join their Mumbai office. This role will focus on debt investments in the Climate Infrastructure sector, combining both portfolio credit monitoring and investment support functions with a long-term emphasis on portfolio credit monitoring.
