Job summary

State Street Corporation in Hyderabad seeks an experienced Team Lead to manage end-to-end client onboarding and reconciliation onboarding. You will translate business requirements into scalable reconciliation solutions and supervise testing, production deployment, and handover to BAU.

You will lead onboarding specialists, coordinate with custodians, managers, and technology teams, drive risk controls, and ensure delivery quality with strong stakeholder management and executive reporting.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, Technology, or related discipline.
  • Approximately 7+ years of relevant experience in middle office, reconciliation, investment operations, client onboarding, system implementation, or a related function.
  • Prior experience leading a team, workstream, or complex implementation within a high-volume, global operating environment.
  • Practical expertise using TLM/TLP or another recognized reconciliation platform.

  • Lead discussions with clients, custodians, fund administrators, operations, and technology teams to confirm reconciliation requirements, scope, assumptions, and delivery approach.
  • Review and approve fund matrices, account structures, reconciliation types, data sources, frequencies, tolerances, matching criteria, workflows, and reporting requirements.

Who we are looking forWe are looking for an experienced and delivery-focused Team Lead to manage end-to-end client onboarding and conversion activities within the Middle Office Reconciliation Onboarding function. The role is accountable for translating business requirements into scalable reconciliation solutions, directing system and data readiness, overseeing testing and production deployment, managing delivery risks, and ensuring a controlled transition to business-as-usual operations.The candidate will lead onboarding specialists and work closely with investment managers, custodians, fund administrators, business teams, technology partners, and reconciliation operations. Strong expertise in middle office reconciliation, data analysis, data mapping, TLM/TLP reconciliation platforms, project delivery, people leadership, and stakeholder management is required.Why this role is important to usThe Middle Office Reconciliation Onboarding team supports the implementation of new investment managers and funds onto State Street’s reconciliation platforms. The Team Lead provides day-to-day delivery leadership and serves as the central coordination and escalation point across business, operations, technology, clients, and external data providers.The role is critical to ensuring that cash, position, transaction, and market-value reconciliation requirements are accurately designed, configured, tested, deployed, and handed over to operations. It also promotes consistent delivery standards, effective risk management, team capability, process scalability, and a controlled, low-risk transition into live reconciliation services.What you will be responsible forLead assigned onboarding projects from requirement gathering through solution design, configuration, testing, production deployment, stabilization, and operational handover.Manage, coach, and develop onboarding specialists; allocate work, set priorities, monitor progress, and provide timely guidance.Establish project plans, roles, milestones, dependencies, controls, and success criteria for each implementation.Lead discussions with clients, custodians, fund administrators, operations, and technology teams to confirm reconciliation requirements, scope, assumptions, and delivery approach.Review and approve fund matrices, account structures, reconciliation types, data sources, frequencies, tolerances, matching criteria, workflows, and reporting requirements.Oversee analysis and validation of cash, position, transaction, and market-value data received through SWIFT messages, flat files, and custodian portals.Direct data analysis and mapping for non-SWIFT files and coordinate with ETL, technology, and deployment teams to establish scalable processing solutions.Oversee account, reconciliation shell, lead-account, match-rule, workflow, and static-data setup in BUAT and production environments.Plan and oversee functional testing, BUAT, DITL, conversion rehearsals, production parallel testing, and go-live readiness reviews.Act as the escalation point for complex reconciliation exceptions, configuration issues, delivery risks, client concerns, and cross-functional dependencies.Lead root-cause analysis and coordinate sustainable corrective and preventive actions with business, operations, and technology partners.Maintain oversight of project plans, open-item logs, Jira tickets, risk and dependency trackers, status reports, decisions, and implementation documentation.Provide concise reporting to management and stakeholders on delivery status, milestones, risks, controls, capacity, and critical decisions.Ensure procedures, reconciliation playbooks, configuration records, control evidence, and handover documentation are complete, current, and audit-ready.Oversee post-production stabilization and ensure outstanding issues, risks, and actions are tracked through closure.Maintain a robust operational-risk and control environment, including adherence to maker-checker controls, information-security standards, governance requirements, and escalation protocols.Monitor workload, quality, productivity, service levels, project capacity, and delivery performance;
