Deutsche Bank in Pune, India is seeking a Clearing and Settlement Analyst to join the Securities & Custody Operations team. The role requires handling day-to-day trade processing, settlements, FX, and cash processing for local and offshore clients within GTB – Investor Services.

You will interact with internal and external parties, stay updated on regulatory changes, and ensure quality work within client SLAs. The position offers growth and a strong collaborative culture.

Qualifications

• Graduate degree in a relevant field (BA/BS/B.Com).
• Experience in securities settlements and custody operations is preferred.
• Exposure to Indian capital markets and regulatory reporting is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate team activities for trade processing and regulatory reporting.
• Maintain quality and quantity of processing per client SLA.
• Monitor volume and allocate resources/workflow accordingly.
• Serve as technical operational expert for client/team queries.
• Manage volume peaks during peak season.
• Ensure tasks close within prescribed SLAs.
• Adhere to all process guidelines including compliance and legal.
• Identify operational risks and mitigate them.
• Create backups for critical roles and support contingencies.
• Collaborate with process owners for bank growth.
• Handle BAU to process FX/Cash and regulatory reporting for India market.
• Experience with client migrations and UAT projects is a plus.

Your Key Responsibilities

This specialized role entails day to day trade processing/settlements/FX/Cash processing. of DB Securities & Custody Operations team which supports local and offshore clients of the GTB – Investor Services.

Principal Accountabilities: Key activities and decision making areas

• Co-ordinate the activities of the team related to trade processing and regulatory reporting
• Ensure quality and quantity of processing is maintained as per the client SLA
• Monitor volume inflow and ensure sufficient resource and workflow allocation in a justifiable manner
• Serve as technical operational expert for queries from clients/team members etc.
• Building a strong mechanism to take care of volume peaks during peak season
• Ensuring closure of tasks within prescribed SLAs
• Ensure strict adherence to all internal and external process guidelines including compliance and legal so as to build and maintain robust control environment.
• Identifying operational risks proactively and mitigating appropriately.
• Ensure adequate back-ups created for all critical positions and assist other teams during contingencies (Staff shortage, high volumes etc).
• Work very closely with the process owners/stakeholders and other internal clients for overall growth of the bank’s business
• Handling BAU to process FX/Cash processing for offshore and local clients, FX and Regulatory reporting for India market, break analysis and escalations, follow up with stakeholders.
• Experience in handling new client migrations and UAT projects will be added advantage

Your Skills And Experience

• Graduate (BA / BS / B.Com, etc.) with 5 to 8 year experience in the relevant field i.e. securities settlements, custody operations etc.
• Exposure to the Indian capital markets, settlements or having custody background would be preferred
• Strong analytical skills, detail orientation, service commitment, and solid organizational and interpersonal skills
• The candidate should be proficient in written and verbal communication.

Proven ability to leverage AI tools to enhance productivity, optimise workflows to solve business problems, while applying critical judgment to ensure responsible and ethical use of data and AI outputs.
