Job Title : Clearing and Settlement Analyst 0.6-1 Yrs

  • Experience range: 6-12months
  • Open to considering fresher candidates (Yes/No): YES
  • Open to considering relocation/ non-local candidates (Yes/No): NO
  • Contract duration: 31 st Dec 2025 (Contract duration is 6 months, extension would be done post 31 st Dec 25)
  • Shift timings: EMEA hrs.- 12.30 PM to 9.30 PM (should be open to other shift timings as well)
  • Number of days work from office: 5

Description:

The Clearing and Settlement Analyst is accountable for managing the end-to-end clearing and settlement process; ensuring smooth and timely matching of security trades between the bank and its counterparties. This includes clearing and settlement through primary and secondary markets, or direct payment to clients and banks.

The Clearing and Settlement Analyst supports interfaces with different internal and external stakeholders (front office, clients, brokers, nostro agents, exchanges and clearing houses) involved in the clearing and settlement process chain, according to the market standards. The role is responsible for trade date to settlement date processes (pre-matching and confirmation, trade processing, cash transfer, instruction routing, depot and inventory management, funding and settlement monitoring) and post-settlement date processes (fails management).

Core responsibilities:

  • Investigation of trades if any discrepancies and should reach out to respective teams/custodians for necessary corrections.
  • Escalating to custodians to understand on the discrepancies on the feed received.
  • Preparation of daily and monthly reports for outstanding trades/breaks on a timely basis.
  • Preparation of monthly KPI and Give up fees report.
  • Ensure team adherence to all cut-off times and quality of processing as maintained in SLA.
  • Ensure that all queries/first level escalations related to routine activities are responded to within the time frames pre-specified.
  • Ensure healthy and harmonious relationship with the clients, partner teams as well as with own team
