The Proxy and Class Actions Department provides middle and back-office functions. The analyst will support Investment Management Activities in Securities, Proxy Administration and Class Actions. The Department is responsible to ensure accounts have Proxy service established, claims are filled for Class Action.
We are seeking a Class Actions & Proxy Analyst to join our Class Actions & Proxy Team within Institutional Investment Management Operations located in Pune, India. The Class Actions/Proxy Analyst is a key role for our firm providing support to our clients in monitoring and analyzing class action and proxy voting events. The role requires a strong understanding of the legal and regulatory landscape surrounding class actions and proxy voting, as well as experience in financial analysis and reporting. The role also requires the ability to work with internal and external teams, including third-party vendors and custodians. The analyst will manage a daily workflow for both class actions and proxy responsibilities. This includes resolving private client inquiries, ensuring the ad-hoc, monthly, and quarterly voting reports are submitted in a timely manner, daily reporting on unvoted proxy meetings, and quality checking AB proxy voting guidelines against third-party research.
The AB India Class Actions Proxy Analyst supports the U.S. Class Actions Proxy team. The teams work together to manage and maintain proxy voting setup, provide, and maintain monthly/quarterly voting reports, ensuring all meetings voted by Proxy Team is approved after thorough analysis of research-advisement emails and AB Proxy manual. On the Class Actions side, the team is responsible for running trial balances, case certifications, and POOF Generation, Buy Side, Sell Side, Name and Address correction & review Class Action deficiencies.

· 4-year undergraduate degree, preferably in business related discipline.
· 2 years of work experience in a function that has some financial related analysis.
· Previous role/internships working in financial services.
· A keen interest in learning and improving financial operations.
· Understanding of Corporate Actions and Proxy voting.
· Capital Markets.
· Excellent communication skills.
