Job summary

AECOM is seeking a Civil Engineer to support monitoring and governance of civil construction for Pooling Substations and Transmission Line projects. The role ensures works comply with designs, specs, and quality, while enabling readiness for equipment erection, electrical installation, commissioning, and handover.

The candidate will monitor grading, foundations, cable trenches, and site development; verify workmanship; coordinate readiness; and report non-conformities.

Qualifications

BE/B.Tech in Civil/Structural/Geotechnical engineering.
5–10 years of experience in civil construction of EHV substations, transmission line foundations, renewable energy projects, or power infrastructure.
Strong experience in foundations, roads, drainage, cable trenches, control buildings, structural works, and site development.

Responsibilities

Monitor site grading, access roads, drainage systems, foundations, control buildings, cable trenches, equipment foundations, tower foundations, backfilling, and reinstatement works.
Verify dimensions, elevations, embedment levels, concrete quality, and workmanship against approved drawings, specifications, and ITP requirements.
Coordinate civil workfront readiness and release of PSS areas for equipment installation and transmission line areas for tower erection and stringing activities.
Identify and report non-conformities, incomplete works, and site constraints impacting project progress.
Support quantity verification activities by providing factual evidence of completed civil works.
Track closure of civil punch points, as-built documentation, and handover requirements through project completion.

Role Overview

AECOM is seeking a Civil Engineer to support the monitoring and governance of civil construction activities for Pooling Substations (PSS) and Transmission Line (T/L) projects. The role focuses on ensuring civil works are executed in accordance with approved designs, specifications, and quality requirements while facilitating readiness for equipment erection, electrical installation, commissioning, and project handover.

Monitor site grading, access roads, drainage systems, foundations, control buildings, cable trenches, equipment foundations, tower foundations, backfilling, and reinstatement works.
