Job summary

AECOM in Bhuj, Gujarat invites a seasoned Civil/Structural Supervisor to oversee substations and HVDC terminal stations, including deep foundations, converter halls, and gantry structures. You will review drawings, supervise foundations, monitor builds, and ensure safety and quality on site.

The role requires 5–8 years of civil-construction experience, a Civil Eng degree, and knowledge of piling, reinforced concrete, structural steel, roads and drainage.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or diploma in Civil Engineering.
• 5–8 years civil-construction experience.
• Experience in EHV substation, industrial building or major infrastructure works.
• Knowledge of piling, reinforced concrete, structural steel, buildings, roads and drainage.

Responsibilities

• Review approved civil and structural drawings, specifications, method statements and ITPs.
• Verify site grading, excavation, filling, compaction and soil-improvement works.
• Supervise pile, raft, isolated, machine and equipment foundations.
• Monitor converter hall, valve hall, control building, relay room and auxiliary‑building construction.
• Inspect reinforcement, formwork, embedded items, anchor bolts, inserts and concrete works.
• Verify equipment foundations for GIS, transformers, reactors, filters, switchgear and auxiliary systems.
• Supervise cable trenches, culverts, drains, oil pits, firewalls, bunds and water‑retaining structures.
• Monitor structural‑steel fabrication and erection for buildings, gantries, bus supports and equipment structures.
• Check stub‑setting, gantry alignment, levels, plumbness and bolt tightening.
• Monitor internal roads, drainage, boundary wall, landscaping and site‑development works.
• Coordinate civil interfaces with electrical, mechanical, HVAC, fire‑protection and cable‑routing requirements.
• Review concrete test results, material certificates, survey records and structural‑inspection reports.
• Identify deviations and initiate RFIs, observations or NCRs.
• Verify as‑built dimensions, levels and completion records.
• Support punch‑list close‑out and civil handover.
