Job summary

SVKM seeks an experienced civil engineer to lead on-site construction planning and execution for large projects in Mumbai. Must have 7–8 years on-site experience and strong civil, structural and architectural knowledge.

Qualifications

• Minimum 7–8 years’ construction site experience.
• Experience on big projects of 25–50 acres land.
• Civil/Structural/Architectural design and construction knowledge.
• AutoCAD, computerized reporting & MS Office proficiency.
• Knowledge of local language written and spoken mandatory.

Responsibilities

• Plan and schedule all project activities as per timelines.
• Ensure timely work execution on site.
• Liaise with Architects, Consultants and Contractors to ensure smooth site operations.
• Conduct Project Review and Design Review meetings online or in office.
• Prepare minutes of meetings and circulate to all.
• Maintain site records (inventory, RIF, drawing register, non-compliance register).
• Identify delays and initiate corrective action.
• Invite quotes from local vendors for comparison and submission.
• Ensure compliance with safety standards and environmental policies.
• Prepare MIS reports to facilitate decision making.
• Minimise material wastage and suggest value engineering to reduce cost.
• Coordinate among team, contractors and consultants to complete assigned work.
• Any other duties as assigned.

Experience:

• Experience in executing various big Projects of approx. 25-50 acres’ land is needed.
• Well conversant with design and construction aspect of Civil, Structural and Architectural.
• Knowledge of AutoCAD, Computerized reporting and MS Office package is must.
• Knowledge of local language written and spoken mandatory.

Job Description:

• Ensure compliance with safety standards and environmental policies.
• Prepare all MIS reports from time to time to facilitate decision making
• Ensure minimum wastage of material at site and suggest value engineering to reduce the cost wherever required.
• Ensure that the assigned work is completed as per the schedule by coordinating amongst the team members, contractors and consultants.
• Any other work assigned from time to time.
