Job summary

SSOE Group in Mumbai, India, invites a Civil Engineer with 3–6 years of site development experience to join a globally minded team delivering Fortune 100 client projects. You will apply standard civil engineering methods, contribute to geometric layout, drainage, and sanitary designs, and collaborate across disciplines.

The role requires Autodesk Civil 3D proficiency, strong English communication, and flexibility to work in the evening to coordinate with USA teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering required.
• 3–6 years of site development project experience.
• Experience with Autodesk Civil 3D; Storm and Sanitary Analysis preferred.
• Ability to meet delivery schedules and budgets on multiple concurrent projects.
• Excellent English written and verbal communication.
• Willing to work in the evening hours to maintain communication with USA teams.

Responsibilities

• Evaluates, selects, and applies standard Civil engineering methods and techniques on work of small projects or on portions of larger projects.
• Receives instructions on specific assignment objectives, complex features, and assistance in deriving possible solutions to unusual problems.
• Ideal candidate will have design experience in Site Geometric Layout, grading, storm water drainage, sanitary sewer design, and water layout.
• Reviews work with supervisor to ensure the application of sound engineering practices and professional judgment.
• May supervise, coordinate, and direct the work effort of designers/junior engineers on the same project with some responsibility for checking drawings.
• May write portions of specifications and assist in preparing cost estimates.
• Performs design work in Autodesk Civil 3D.
• Job may require use of AI or similar digital technology to perform the job function.

Responsibilities

The following duties are typical of the position but are not all encompassing. Responsibilities include those required to deliver quality service on schedule and within budget in a team environment.

• Site Geometric Layout, including access roads and parking
• Grading
• Storm water drainage design
• Sanitary sewer design
• Domestic water/fire water layout
• Erosion and Sediment Prevention Control (ESCP)and Stormwater Pollution Prevention Plans (SWPPP)
• Exercises limited judgment in making adaptations or modifications to design concepts.
• Reviews work with supervisor to ensure the application of sound engineering practices and professional judgment.
• May supervise, coordinate, and direct the work effort of designers/junior engineers on the same project with some responsibility for checking his/her portion of the completed drawings.
• May write portions of specifications and assist in preparing cost estimates.
• Performs design work in Autodesk Civil 3D.
• Job may require use of AI or similar digital technology to perform the job function.
