Job summary

Mott MacDonald is seeking a senior Civil Engineer to contribute to water infrastructure projects in India. The role requires hands-on Civil 3D pipe network modelling, hydraulics and hydrological knowledge, and strong team collaboration.

We value experience on water/wastewater systems, BIM workflow proficiency, and the ability to coordinate multi-disciplinary teams to deliver high-quality outcomes. Mumbai-based with permanent, full-time engagement.

Qualifications

• Diploma or degree in Civil Engineering is required.
• 8+ years of experience in civil/water infrastructure.
• Experience in water and wastewater systems is required.
• Familiarity with hydraulics & hydrological modelling is essential.
• Hands-on modelling in Civil 3D and pipe networks.
• Experience with BIM workflows and project collaboration tools.

Responsibilities

• Create surfaces, alignments, longitudinal sections, and model piping networks.
• Follow BIM workflow, QC, and issue drawings to clients.
• Model pipe networks (gravity and pressure) in Civil 3D and resolve model complexities.
• Extract schedules and reports for cut and fill quantities.
• Coordinate between disciplines and liaise with stakeholders.
• Knowledge of GIS and related tools is advantageous.
• Ensure deliverables are completed within time limits.

Job Description :

• Creating surfaces, alignments, longitudinal sections, modelling piping networks and related drawings.
• Follow BIM workflow, QC process, issuing drawings to internal and external clients and managing electronic information
• Should undertake pipe network modelling (gravity and pressure networks) in Civil 3D oneself and resolve complexities associated with the model
• Should be able to extract schedules, reports of cut and fill quantities.
• Conversant with different input file formats for surface modelling
• Coordination between other disciplines
• Knowledge of vehicle tracking would be preferable
• Knowledge of Part builder would be preferable
• Knowledge of GIS would be preferable
• Work within time limits assigned to complete deliverables on time

Candidate Specification :

• Diploma or Degree in Civil Engineering
• 8+ years of experince
• Knowledge and experience of working on water and wastewater systems is required
• Experience in UK projects is preferable
• Should be familiar with hydraulics & hydrological modelling system
• Must have hands-on experience in modelling pipe network in Civil 3D software
• Knowledge of Bentley ProjectWise or BIM 360 shall be considered as added advantage
• Should be able to troubleshoot, guide and train team members to perform varied levels of development in BIM projects;
• Good communication skills and the ability to work oneself and as part of a team
• A professional attitude towards work and self-motivated
• Be a team player and have multi-disciplinary co-ordination skills
