Job summary

AdaniConnex in Mumbai seeks a Design Manager for Civil, Structure and Architecture to deliver high-quality data center designs across all development phases.

You will work on RCC, precast and steel structures, using REVIT, SP3D, TEKLA and AutoCAD; coordinate with architecture, MEP, and other disciplines, ensuring compliance with codes and budget constraints.

Qualifications

• BE Civil or Architectural degree with relevant experience.
• 9-14 years of experience in civil/structural design for data centers.
• Familiarity with IS and international codes preferred.

Responsibilities

• Produce high quality civil/structural building designs for data centers.
• Coordinate across disciplines: architectural, mechanical, electrical.
• Perform design development, construction documents, and admin tasks.
• Design RCC, precast, and steel structures; assess feasibility and budgets.

• Review contractor/sub-consultant drawings and issue GFC drawings.

Purpose

Design Manager (Civil, Structure and Architecture) is responsible for producing high quality Building designs for Adani Data Centres.

Responsible to work on all phases of development including Pre-Design, Schematic Design, Design Development, Construction Documents and Construction Administration. Knowledge of 3D software such as REVIT, SP3D, TEKLA, Navisworks shall be added advantage for the candidate.

Extensive experience with AutoCAD and Microsoft Office.

Major Responsibility

• Responsible to create a detailed design of a concept or idea and testing the project feasibility with expected budget, site characteristics, safety and local planning regulations.
• Independent design and analysis of RCC, PRECAST and Steel Structures.
• Review the drawings submitted by Contractors / Design Consultants.
• Design & Analyze to improve energy efficiency, by designing buildings that maximize natural lighting and ventilation, while reducing the heating and cooling needs.
• Verify that applicable building codes are satisfactory addressed.
• Visualize the whole building structure, bringing creative designs and ideas to the construction industry, but these also require an underlying structural design and MEP installations.
• Keep abreast with markets trends to insure adequate awareness and information about new solutions and materials.
• Analyze building plans and blueprints to ensure they are accurate and feasible
• Responsible for cost analysis, generation of structure loading schemes, wind and seismic loading calculations on structures and design.
• Adjust and revise building plan to contain additional components/sections as may be required by Datacenter clients.
• Perform and check routine/complex types of calculations and designs using both computer-aided and manual design techniques
• Analysis and design of DG Structure, Piperack structures, chimney foundations, water tanks, ETP/STP etc.
• Design of storm water/ETP drain and road work.
• Responsible for good quality issue of GFC drawings and specifications
• Organize, draft, and coordinate technical documents.
• Coordinate work with other disciplines such as architectural, mechanical, electrical, etc.
• Familiarity with Revit software highly desirable
• Working knowledge of VectorWorks. Shall be conversant with IS codes and Familiarity with international code will add advantage
