Job summary

Navlakha Management Services seeks an experienced Cisco ACI Network L3 Engineer to design, implement, administer, troubleshoot, optimize, and support enterprise data center networks based on Cisco ACI.

You will work hands-on with Cisco ACI, Nexus switches, and APIC components, handling complex L2/L3 incidents, planning fabric upgrades, and coordinating with cross-functional teams for end-to-end solutions.

Qualifications

• Experience with Cisco ACI, Nexus switches and data center networking, able to handle complex L2/L3 incidents.
• Strong hands-on Cisco ACI and Nexus switches experience; able to troubleshoot fabric and external connectivity.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, configure, and manage Cisco ACI Fabric environments.
• Troubleshoot APIC, Spine, Leaf, and ACI fabric components.
• Configure and manage Tenants, VRFs, Bridge Domains, EPGs, Contracts, App Profiles, VLAN/VXLAN, VMM Domains, L3Out, External EPGs.
• Troubleshoot complex ACI fabric, connectivity, endpoint, contract, and policy-related issues.
• Perform L2/L3 troubleshooting involving VLAN, STP, VPC, VXLAN, BGP, OSPF, EIGRP.
• Configure and troubleshoot ACI L3Out, BGP/OSPF peering, route redistribution, and external connectivity.
• Manage integration of ACI with external network devices, firewalls, load balancers, and other infrastructure components.
• Troubleshoot endpoint learning, EPG classification, contract enforcement, and traffic forwarding issues.
• Perform fault analysis, packet-level troubleshooting, and RCA.
• Analyze ACI faults, events, health scores, logs, and fabric statistics.
• Handle L3 escalations from L1/L2 support teams and provide timely resolution.
• Perform network changes, upgrades, migrations, and maintenance per change-management.
• Participate in ACI fabric upgrades, expansion, migration, and optimization.
• Monitor network performance, capacity, availability, and overall health of the ACI environment.
• Develop and maintain network diagrams, configuration docs, SOPs, and procedures.
• Coordinate with application, server, security, virtualization, storage, and cloud teams for end-to-end troubleshooting.
• Work with Cisco TAC and other vendors for complex issues.
• Conduct knowledge-transfer sessions for L1/L2 teams.
• Ensure compliance with network security, governance, and operational standards.

Job Summary

The candidate should have strong hands-on experience with Cisco ACI, Nexus switches, data center networking, routing and switching, and should be capable of independently handling complex L2/L3 network incidents and escalations.

• Ensure compliance with network security, governance, and operational standards.

Additional Skills

• Knowledge of Cisco Nexus Dashboard is an advantage.
• Knowledge of Cisco NX-OS is required.
• Exposure to VMware/Virtualization networking is desirable.
• Exposure to firewalls such as Palo Alto, Fortinet, or Cisco ASA/FTD is an advantage.
• Knowledge of load balancers such as F5 is desirable.
• Exposure to cloud networking AWS/Azure is an advantage.
• Experience with network monitoring and management tools.
• Basic understanding of automation using Python/Ansible is desirable.
