Job summary

Galaxy Inc. in Tamil Nadu is seeking a seasoned DOP to lead cinematography for commercials, brand films, reels, and social content. You will translate scripts and briefs into compelling visuals.

You will set lighting, camera movements, and shot composition, collaborate with Creative Directors, and ensure consistent visual quality across all frames while meeting tight timelines and brand standards.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a DOP or Cinematographer in ad agencies or production houses.
• Strong knowledge of camera systems (RED, ARRI, Sony FX, Canon, Blackmagic).
• Expertise in lighting, exposure, framing, and composition.
• Experience shooting product videos, reels, and commercials.
• Ability to work under tight deadlines with multiple projects.

Job description

1. Cinematography & Visual Storytelling:

• Plan and execute cinematography for commercials, brand films, reels, and social media content
• Translate scripts, storyboards, and creative briefs into compelling visual narratives
• Define the visual tone, mood, and lighting style for each project
• Ensure consistency of visual quality across all frames

2. Lighting & Camera Execution:

• Design and execute professional lighting setups (studio & outdoor)
• Operate and manage cinema cameras, lenses, rigs, gimbals, and drones (if certified)
• Select appropriate camera movements, angles, and compositions
• Handle multi-camera setups for complex shoots

3. Pre-Production & Planning: Collaborate with Creative Directors, Directors, and Art Teams

• Participate in recce, location planning, and shot breakdowns
• Suggest innovative visual techniques to elevate brand storytelling
• Assist in equipment planning and rental coordination
• Lead and coordinate with camera assistants, focus pullers, and lighting crew
• Ensure shoot timelines are met without compromising quality
• Work closely with editors and colorists to maintain visual continuity
• Guide color grading, exposure balance, and final look approval
• Ensure deliverables meet brand and platform standards

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Proven experience as a DOP / Cinematographer in ad agencies or production houses
• Strong knowledge of camera systems (RED, ARRI, Sony FX series, Canon, Blackmagic)
• Expertise in lighting techniques, exposure, framing, and composition
• Experience shooting product videos, reels, and commercials
• Understanding of digital-first and social media video formats
• Knowledge of color profiles, LUTs, and cinematic workflows
• Ability to work under tight deadlines and multiple projects

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with baby product industrial, events , brand videos, Ads
• Basic knowledge of editing and color grading workflows
• Strong creative instincts and visual references knowledge

Work Schedule: Monday to Saturday - 6 Days a week
