Job summary

Deutsche Bahn is seeking an experienced Construction Manager to oversee metro project supervision in Indore, India. The role requires leading the site team, coordinating all construction activities, and ensuring compliance with contract terms and timelines.

You will liaise with Contractors, Client, and stakeholders, monitor progress, review method statements, and certify payments. A strong QA/QC background and experience on Metro Projects are essential.

Qualifications

• Graduation in Engineering.
• 20+ years of post-qualification work experience.
• 5+ years of experience working in similar positions/roles on Metro Projects with GC/PMC/Client/Supervision firm.
• More than 2 Metro Projects in similar or equivalent positions.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for the overall management, coordination, ensuring compliance with the contract and liaison with PD & DPD.
• Sets up the supervision organization and manages the whole team.
• Lead the site team. Ensure all deliverables are prepared in accordance with quality and time constraints.
• Liaison with the Contractors, Client and other stakeholders.
• Monitoring of implementation programme & progress
• Develop schedules for site works.
• Coordinate all elements of the construction activities.
• Review of method statement submitted by the contractor.
• Monitor the contractor’s activities for ensuring quality, safety and conformity to contract specifications and timeframe.
• Make a suitable arrangement for monitoring the performance of the Contractors and their sub-contractors.
• Review the traffic management plan during construction.
• Verify completed work & prepare a request for payment to contractors. Certify progress claim from the contractor.
• Responsible for ensuring timely delivery of reports as per the contractual requirement.
• Ensure the implementation of QA and QC procedures to ensure the quality of supervision works.
• Ensure interface between design and site teams leading to timely and compliant as-built documentation.
