Job summary

Duranta Infotech Private Limited invites applications for Chief Project Director - Civil (General Management Services for railway projects). The role acts as the nominated Authority Engineer for EPC railway projects, reviewing drawings, QA plans, methodologies, and progress reports, and determining time extensions and costs.

You will develop Baseline Schedule, Budget, WBS, Master Schedule, CBS, and cash-flow projections, while overseeing schedule, cost, document control, QA/QC, risk and change

Qualifications

• Graduate Degree in Civil Engineering with minimum 20 years’ experience in construction, including Railway/Highway projects, with at least 10 years in Railway/Linear projects and at least 3 years as Chief/Senior Project Director or equivalent.
• Or graduate degree with 20 years in construction incl. Railway/Highway projects plus: 5+ years in Administrative Grade II or 7+ years in Selection Grade II/Civil Engineering Dept. in Indian Railways/Public Sector railways.

Responsibilities

• Act as nominated Authority Engineer for EPC railway projects.
• Review drawings, QA plans, methodology, progress reports; determine Time Extensions/additional costs.
• Develop and maintain Baseline Schedule, Budget, WBS, Master Schedule, CBS, cash-flow projections.

• Perform all duties of Authority Engineer under the EPC Agreement, including review of drawings, Quality Assurance Plans, methodology, progress reports, inspections, and determination of Time Extensions / additional costs etc
• Develop and maintain Baseline Schedule & Budget, Work Breakdown Structure (WBS), Master Schedule, Cost Breakdown Structure (CBS), and cash-flow projections.
• Oversee Schedule Management, Cost Management, Document Control, Technical Audit & Quality Control (Civil/Structural), Risk Management, Scope & Change Management.
• Coordinate interfaces, ensure compliance with safety, quality, environment, and contractual obligations; minimise claims and disputes.
• Prepare and submit daily, weekly, monthly, and quarterly reports; participate in review meetings.

Qualifications & Experience

Graduate Degree in Civil Engineering with minimum 20 years’ experience in the construction industry, including Railway/Highway projects, with at least 10 years in Railway/Linear projects and at least 3 years as Chief/Senior Project Director or equivalent.

OR

Graduate Degree in Civil Engineering with minimum 20 years’ experience in the construction industry, including Railway/Highway projects with at least 5 years’ experience in Selection Administrative Grade or above in Civil Engineering, or at least 7 years’ service in Selection Grade or above in Civil Engineering Department (or equivalent) in Indian Railways / Public Sector organisations in railways can be considered
