Job summary

AUMOVIO seeks an experienced sourcing leader in India to drive supplier nomination and best-cost outcomes across automotive components. You will own material cost responsibilities, monitor supplier risks, and ensure on-time component sourcing throughout product development.

Collaborating with BA teams, you will translate roadmaps into supplier strategies, scout new suppliers, and participate in VDA 6.3 audits while focusing on the India region.

Responsibilities

• Lead the sourcing team through the automotive sourcing process from kick-off to supplier nomination, ensuring best cost and quality outcomes.
• Manage commercial responsibility for material costs, including BOM; participate in design-to-cost and cost reduction programs to hit target costs.
• Safeguard supplier risk exposure by monitoring risk clusters (geo-hazard, geo-political, financial, technical, supply) and maintain supplier documentation through nomination.
• Control supplier milestones during product development, ensuring on-time component sourcing and smooth handover to plant purchasing at PLC gate 80.
• Drive change management processes for components and track development with SQM until SOP.
• Translate BA product/tech roadmap into component/tech roadmap; conduct strategy reviews with main categories to identify action needs and supplier development activities.
• Support new supplier scouting, market analysis, supplier process development, and VDA 6.3 audits; maintain supplier base per BA strategy and roadmap.
• Support material and supplier strategy development for assigned categories (Display, Cover Glass and Backlight Unit) with focus on India, including market analysis and escalation handling.
• Support SQM roadmap alignment and conduct initial on-site quality assessments for new potential suppliers.

**Key Responsibilities:**

• Lead the sourcing team through the automotive sourcing process from kick-off to supplier nomination, ensuring best cost and quality outcomes while meeting all project milestones and PLC gate requirements
• Manage commercial responsibility for material costs, including bill of material (BOM) ; actively participate in design-to-cost and cost reduction programs to achieve target costs during acquisition and post-SOP phases
• Safeguard supplier risk exposure by monitoring well-known risk clusters (geo-hazard, geo-political, financial, technical, supply) and maintain comprehensive sourcing documentation through official nomination
• Control supplier-related milestones during product development, ensuring on-time component sourcing, early supplier involvement (ESI) when requested, and smooth handover to plant purchasing at PLC gate 80
• Drive change management processes for components and track component development and validation with SQM until successful SOP
• Translate BA product and technology roadmap into component and technology roadmap; conduct strategy reviews with main categories to identify action needs, white spots, and supplier development activities
• Support new supplier scouting, introduction and development, including market analysis, supplier process development, gap analysis, and VDA 6.3 process audits; maintain supplier base in alignment with BA strategy and technology roadmap
• Support material and supplier strategy development for assigned categories (Display, Cover Glass and Backlight Unit) with focus on India, including market analysis, strategy definition, implementation, and acting as local representative for commercial escalations
• Support SQM roadmap alignment and conduct initial on-site quality assessments for new potential suppliers
