Nainital Bank Ltd invites an experienced Chief Information Security Officer (CISO) based in Haldwani to lead the bank’s information security strategy. You will design, implement, and monitor policies across systems and data.

You will assess risks, manage incidents, oversee testing, ensure regulatory compliance, and work with senior leaders to align security with business goals while promoting security awareness among staff and vendors.

Qualifications

• Strong expertise in Information Security and Information Security Management, including governance frameworks, policies, and risk assessment.
• Advanced knowledge of Cybersecurity practices, including threat detection, incident response, and security operations.
• Experience in Application Security, covering secure software development, code review, and application vulnerability management.
• Proficiency in Business Continuity planning, disaster recovery strategies, and resilience of critical banking operations.
• In-depth understanding of banking and financial services regulations related to information security and data protection.
• Proven experience in a senior information security leadership role, preferably within banking or financial services.
• Relevant professional certifications such as CISSP, CISM, CISA, or equivalent are highly desirable.
• Excellent analytical, decision-making, and communication skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate at executive and board levels.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Information Security, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.

Role Description

The Chief Information Security Officer (CISO) is a full-time, on-site role based in Haldwani, responsible for leading the bank’s information security and cybersecurity strategy. Daily responsibilities include assessing security risks, managing security incidents, coordinating vulnerability and penetration testing, and ensuring regulatory and compliance requirements are met. The role involves close collaboration with senior leadership, IT, operations, and business units to align security initiatives with organizational objectives, as well as ongoing security awareness training for employees and vendors. The CISO will continuously evaluate emerging threats and technologies to strengthen the bank’s security posture and business continuity capabilities.
