  • Experience in an international or multicultural organization is highly preferred.

Job description

The Head of HR & Administration will lead the HR and administrative functions for the India office, ensuring alignment with corporate strategies and compliance with local labor laws. The role requires a strategic leader with extensive experience in full-spectrum HR, including talent management, employee relations, performance management, and compliance. The ideal candidate is a certified HR professional with a strong technical background (IT,ITES, Cybersecurity) exceptional leadership skills, and experience in managing complex HR operations within a multinational or diversified manufacturing group.

Key Responsibilities:
1. Strategic HR Leadership
  • Serve as a strategic partner to the leadership team on all people-related matters.
  • Develop and implement HR strategies aligned with business objectives and global HR policies.
  • Partner with senior leaders on workforce planning, talent pipelines, and succession planning.
  • Drive change management initiatives and foster a culture of innovation and accountability.
2. Performance Management & Talent Development
  • Design and roll out a transparent, fair, and effective performance evaluation framework.
  • Train managers and employees on goal setting, continuous feedback, and appraisal processes.
  • Use performance data to support talent development, recognition, and career progression.
  • Implement leadership and management development programs in collaboration with L&D teams.
3. HR Policy Development & Compliance
  • Draft, update, and implement HR policies in line with best practices and local labour laws.
  • Ensure compliance with all statutory and regulatory requirements.
  • Communicate policies effectively and ensure consistent application across the organization.
4. Recruitment & Onboarding
  • Lead end-to-end recruitment for leadership and critical roles, ensuring diverse and top-quality talent acquisition.
  • Manage employer branding strategies to attract the best talent.
  • Oversee the design and execution of an engaging onboarding experience to accelerate new hire integration.
  • Coordinate visa and relocation processes for international hires as required.
5. Employee Relations & Culture Building
  • Act as the primary point of contact for employee relations, grievances, and conflict resolution.
  • Drive initiatives that promote a positive, inclusive, and high-performance culture.
  • Implement engagement programs to improve retention and overall employee experience.
  • Serve as a cultural ambassador ensuring alignment with organizational values.
6. Compensation & Benefits Administration
  • Manage the compensation and benefits framework to ensure competitiveness and internal equity.
  • Conduct annual salary surveys and recommend adjustments aligned with market trends.
  • Oversee payroll inputs and compliance in collaboration with Finance.
7. HR Operations & Systems
  • Ensure efficient HR operations including contracts, records, HRIS, and reporting.
  • Leverage HR analytics to provide insights on workforce trends and business decisions.
8. Organizational Development & Change Management
  • Champion organizational development strategies, including structure design and workforce optimization.
  • Lead initiatives that support diversity, inclusion, employee well-being, and engagement.
  • Manage change management processes to ensure smooth business transitions.
Qualifications & Experience:
  • Master’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • 15+ years of progressive HR experience, including at least 8-9 years in a leadership role.
  • Strong knowledge of labour laws, compliance requirements, and HR best practices.
  • Proven experience in strategic HR planning, talent management, and organizational development.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Experience in an international or multicultural organization is highly preferred.
