Job summary

The Corporate Institute is seeking a strategic and commercially oriented CFO to lead Finance, Accounts, Legal, Fundraising, Treasury, Compliance and Corporate Governance functions in India.

The ideal candidate will have proven fundraising experience with equity/debt/PE/VC, strong financial leadership, and hands-on management of legal and regulatory matters in a high-growth, PE-backed environment. The role reports to the CEO and requires building a high-performing finance team.

Qualifications

About the Role:

We are looking for a strategic and commercially oriented CFO to lead the organisations Finance, Accounts, Legal, Fundraising, Treasury, Compliance and Corporate Governance functions.

The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in fundraising and capital raising, strong financial leadership, and hands‑on experience managing legal and regulatory matters.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead the organisations fundraising and capital‑raising strategy across equity, debt, PE/VC, strategic investors, family offices and financial institutions.
• Lead the complete Finance & Accounts function, including financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, MIS, taxation, audit and statutory reporting.
• Oversee the organisations legal and corporate affairs in coordination with internal/external legal counsel.
• Manage banking relationships, treasury operations, liquidity and cash management.
• Partner with the CEO and leadership team to develop and execute business strategy.
• Lead/support M&A, joint ventures, strategic investments and corporate finance transactions.
• Build and lead a high‑performing Finance, Accounts and Corporate Finance team.

Desired Candidate Profile:

• CA / MBA Finance from a reputed institution.
• 15-25 years of relevant experience, preferably with experience as CFO / Finance Director / VP Finance / Head Finance.
• Proven fundraising experience with successful equity/debt/PE/VC or institutional fund raising.
• Experience in a high‑growth, entrepreneurial, PE‑backed or professionally managed organisation would be preferred.
