Behr Paint Company in India is seeking a Chemist-I in the Research and Development department to perform and document laboratory tests, assist in new product development, and help improve existing products through systematic testing and data recording.
Responsibilities include preparing samples, running standard and special tests such as coating applications, viscosity, gloss, pH, and scrub tests; maintaining test equipment; reporting results; and collaborating with Manufacturing and Marketing

SUPERVISOR’S JOB TITLE: Group Leader, Director
Educational attainment equivalent to bachelor’s degree in chemical engineering, Master of Science or a related field.
Some experience involving chemical analysis and testing procedures
Knowledge of the principles of math and chemistry
Knowledge of chemical and material properties under basic testing conditions and production operations
Knowledge of computer hardware and software systems and applications
Ability to set up and operate laboratory testing equipment, including glossmeter and solid and viscosity testing equipment
Ability to perform laboratory research and complete test records and reports
Ability to communicate effectively read specifications and follow oral or written instructions
Exhibit proficiency in all areas of the Research and Development Technician classification
