Job Title: Process / Chemical Engineer
Responsibilities
Process Design and Optimization
- Develop and optimize chemical processes to improve efficiency, quality, and safety.
- Conduct feasibility studies for new projects and evaluate existing processes for improvement opportunities.
- Collaborate with the research and development team to scale up new processes from laboratory to full-scale production.
Equipment and Facility Design
- Design and specify equipment for chemical processes, ensuring compliance with safety and environmental regulations.
- Work with vendors to source and select appropriate equipment and materials.
- Provide technical support for the installation, commissioning, and maintenance of equipment.
Safety and Environmental Compliance
- Implement and enforce safety procedures to ensure a safe working environment.
- Monitor and manage environmental compliance, ensuring adherence to local and international regulations.
- Participate in safety audits and investigations as required.
Quality Control
- Collaborate with quality control teams to ensure products meet specified standards.
- Implement and oversee quality control processes within the manufacturing environment.
Data Analysis and Reporting
- Collect and analyze data related to production processes.
- Prepare reports and documentation for internal and external stakeholders.
Collaboration
- Work closely with cross-functional teams, including research and development, production, and maintenance, to achieve project goals.
- Provide technical support and guidance to operations and maintenance teams.
Continuous Improvement
- Identify opportunities for process optimization and cost reduction.
- Stay updated on industry trends and technological advancements to drive continuous improvement initiatives.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's or Masters degree in Chemical Engineering or a related field.
- 2 years of experience in chemical engineering
