Job summary

Alten is seeking a senior Chassis Design Engineer in Chennai to drive the design and development of chassis subsystems, including brakes, suspension and steering components. You will create CAD models and drawings with GD&T using CATIA/3DX, and guide ground-up design from concept through production.

You will collaborate with D&R engineers and suppliers, ensure manufacturability, and apply NPD process milestones to deliver robust chassis assemblies on time.

Qualifications

• Expertise in Chassis Systems Design and Development - Brakes, Suspension, Wheels/Tires.
• CAD models, Drawings & GD&T in CATIA / 3DX, for Chassis components in Suspension, Brakes, Steering.
• Ground-up design of Chassis components through detailed design and delivery into production, by establishing manufacturing, assembly and service feasibility.
• Good Knowledge and hands-on experience in GD&T and New Product Development processes.

Job description

• Expertise in Chassis Systems Design and Development - Brakes, Suspension, Wheels/Tires
• Responsible for developing CAD models, Drawings & GD&T in CATIA / 3DX, for Chassis components in Suspension, Brakes, Steering
  Functional expertise in design and development of Chassis aggregates and to take technical decisions with D&R Engineers and suppliers as required
• Ability to ground-up design of Chassis components through detailed design and delivery into production, by establishing manufacturing, assembly and service feasibility
• Good understanding of New Product Development process, program milestones and delivery success criteria for Engineering
• Expert in Sheetmetal design, Engineering operations, Manufacturing processes
• Good Knowledge and hands-on experience in GD&T
