Job summary

WTW Global Delivery And Solutions in Thane, Maharashtra, seeks a Chartered Accountant with 1-4 years of accounting experience to join our finance team. You will prepare financial statements, manage regulatory matters, and support client benchmarking and board packs.

You will work on trial balances, budgeting, forecasting, reconciliations, and regulatory reporting, with opportunities to travel to the USA, UK, or other locations as required.

Responsibilities

• Prepare Trial Balance, Income statement and Balance Sheet for Captive Insurance clients.
• Plan and carry out budgeting, forecasting, reconciliations, cash flow statements.
• Update notes to accounts as required.
• Calculate unearned / unexpensed reinsurance reserve.
• Calculate Allocated Investment Income.
• Post journals, prepare reconciliations and review balances.
• Prepare management, statutory and regulatory reports.
• Monitor inter-company loans per state laws.
• Provide management information and insights.
• Be system proficient with MS Office applications.
• Liaise and attend meetings with other company functions.

Job description

Primary responsibilities include:

• Preparation of financial statements as well as client financial and management accounting.
• Managing and overseeing regulatory and compliance issues.
• Preparation of Board Packs and client benchmarking analysis.
• Reviewing new client's business operations and working with the team that implements solutions.
• Responding to and following up on queries by the captive accountholders.
• Maintenance and development of various management information reports

Key activities in the job include:

• Preparation of Trial Balance, Income statement and Balance Sheet for Captive Insurance clients
• Planning and carrying out different accounting and financial activities like budgeting, forecasting, reconciliations, cash flow statement
• Update notes to accounts, if and when required
• Calculating the unearned / un-expensed reinsurance reserve
• Calculating the Allocated Investment Income
• Posting journals, preparing reconciliation and reviewing balances
• Preparing management, statutory and regulatory reports
• Monitoring the shareholder/Inter-company loans - as per the respective state laws
• Monitor and report on activities and provide relevant management information
• Be system proficient with hands on experience on Microsoft Office applications
• Liaise and attend meetings along with other company functions necessary to perform duties and organizational development.
