Job summary

S Gautam Associates in Pune seeks an experienced Audit & Assurance professional to lead engagements, review financial statements, and ensure compliance with applicable standards. You will plan, execute, and finalize audits, manage risk, and deliver high-quality reports.

You will supervise teams, mentor staff, and build strong client relationships, while staying updated with regulatory changes and quality control procedures.

Qualifications

• Experience in a Chartered Accountancy firm preferred.
• Knowledge of GST, RERA and Income Tax is a plus.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.

Responsibilities

• Plan, execute, and finalize statutory audits, internal audits, and tax audits.
• Review financial statements and ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulatory requirements.
• Conduct risk assessment and develop audit strategies and programs.
• Lead and supervise audit teams across multiple assignments.
• Maintain client relationships and act as a key point of contact during engagements.
• Ensure adherence to quality control procedures and professional ethics.

• Evaluate internal controls and recommend process improvements.
• Ensure timely completion of audit assignments while maintaining quality standards.
• Identify audit findings and prepare management letters and reports.

Team Management

• Lead and supervise audit teams across multiple assignments.
• Allocate work, monitor progress, and provide guidance to team members.
• Conduct performance reviews and mentor junior staff and article assistants.
• Facilitate knowledge sharing and technical training within the team.

Client Management

• Act as a key point of contact for clients during audit engagements.
• Build and maintain strong client relationships.
• Address client queries and provide practical business solutions.
• Ensure client satisfaction through timely and quality deliverables.

Compliance & Quality Control

• Ensure adherence to firm policies, auditing standards, and professional ethics.
• Stay updated with changes in accounting, auditing, and regulatory frameworks.
• Support implementation of quality control procedures and best practices.

Business Development Support

• Assist in preparing proposals and presentations for prospective clients.
• Identify opportunities for additional service offerings to existing clients.

Experience

• Experience in a Chartered Accountancy firm preferred
