Qualifications

Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site Chartered Accountant role based in the Mumbai Metropolitan Region. The Chartered Accountant will manage day-to-day accounting and financial reporting, prepare and review statutory financial statements, and ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations. Responsibilities include tax planning and compliance, review and filing of direct and indirect tax returns, and support during tax assessments or audits. The role involves conducting internal and statutory audits, analyzing financial data, advising clients on financial control improvements, and coordinating with clients and internal teams to resolve accounting and tax issues. The Chartered Accountant will also assist in budgeting, forecasting, and providing financial insights to support business decisions.

Qualifications

• Professional qualification as a Chartered Accountant (CA), with active membership in the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI).
• Strong knowledge of accounting standards, financial reporting, and Indian regulatory and compliance requirements.
• Experience in direct and indirect taxation, including return filing, tax planning, and handling assessments or audits.
• Proficiency in audit procedures, risk assessment, and internal control evaluation.
• Ability to work with accounting and ERP software, strong Excel skills, and comfort with digital documentation and e-filing platforms.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and numerical skills, with attention to detail and accuracy.
• Effective communication and client management skills, with the ability to collaborate in a team-based professional environment.
• Prior experience in a CA firm or professional services environment in the Mumbai region is an advantage.
