Job summary

Royal Enfield is seeking a CGI specialist to support the CGI team in creating and preparing CAD data for rendering stills, animation and configurators.

You will texture and shader the CGI model, assist in poly-modelling soft surfaces (seats, tyres) and low-poly components, and develop 3D skills in Rhino, Maya and 3DS Max.

Reporting to the CGI Manager within Product Strategy & Industrial Design, you will follow pipeline workflows, ensure data quality, and contribute to shoots as needed.

Qualifications

• At least one year experience in automotive OEM or independent studio.
• Skilled in Rhino.
• Experience following defined processes and technical standards (pipeline).
• Proficient in Maya / Autodesk 3DS MAX.
• Good working knowledge of Vray.
• Some knowledge of Unreal would be beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Prepare CAD and 3D files including surfacing, texturing, naming and layering.
• Follow pipeline workflows and maintain data quality.
• Manipulate hard surface CAD using Rhino.
• Import and translate CAD geometry into 3DS Max without compromising surface detail.
• UV unwrap tessellated surface geometry as needed.
• Develop 3D skills in Max, Maya and Rhino.
• Develop lighting and rendering using studio render engines.
• Create models in both low and high poly to a high standard.
• Carry out duties as assigned by line manager.
• Attend shoots and photograph textures and references.

What you’ll do:

• To prepare CAD and 3D files, including surfacing texturing, naming and layering.
• To understand and follow all pipeline production workflows and procedures, ensuring all data assets produced meet a certain standard of quality.
• To manipulate hard surface CAD through the use of Rhino.
• To import and translate CAD geometry in 3DS Max, that do not compromise the original surface detail.
• To UV unwrap tessellated surface geometry when needed.
• To develop 3d skills using Max, Maya and Rhino.
• To develop lighting and rendering skills using the studio chosen render engines.
• To create certain models in both low and high poly to a high standard.
• To carry out any reasonable duties as identified by your line manager.
• To attend shoots / photograph textures and references when needed.

What you’ll bring:

• Well skilled in Maya / Autodesk 3DS MAX
• Good working knowledge of Vray
