Responsibilities include preparing items, maintaining hygiene, and collaborating with senior chefs to plan menus, train staff, and monitor waste and portions to protect profits.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a CDP or similar role in a busy kitchen environment.
• Culinary diploma or equivalent certification preferred.
• Strong knowledge of kitchen operations and food safety standards.
• Ability to work efficiently under pressure and multitask.
• Excellent communication and team coordination skills.
• Flexibility to work in shifts, including weekends and holidays.

• Prepare and cook food items in designated section (e.g., grill, sauce, pastry).
• Maintain hygiene and cleanliness standards in line with food safety regulations.
• Collaborate with the Sous Chef and Head Chef to plan and prepare menus.
• Monitor portion and waste control to maintain profit margins.
• Train and guide Commis Chefs and junior kitchen staff.
• Ensure equipment is maintained and any issues are reported promptly.
• Maintain stock control and assist with inventory checks.
• Uphold consistency in taste, presentation, and quality of dishes.
