Role Description The CCTV Field Engineer is a full-time, on-site role based in the Greater Chennai Area. The role involves installing, configuring, testing, and maintaining CCTV cameras, recording systems, and related security equipment at client locations. The engineer will conduct site surveys, prepare installation plans, route cabling, and ensure systems are integrated correctly with existing infrastructure. Day-to-day responsibilities include troubleshooting technical issues, performing routine maintenance, updating firmware and software, and documenting work completed. The position also requires collaborating with project managers and clients, providing user training on system operation, and following safety and compliance standards during all field activities.
Qualifications

• Strong technical skills in CCTV installation, configuration, and maintenance, including familiarity with IP and analog camera systems.
• Proficiency in network fundamentals (LAN, WAN, IP addressing), NVR/DVR configuration, and basic routing and switching concepts.
• Experience with cabling and hardware setup, including structured wiring, power supplies, connectors, and mounting systems.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, wiring diagrams, and site plans for system deployment.
• Solid troubleshooting and diagnostic skills for resolving hardware, connectivity, and performance issues on-site.
• Knowledge of security system best practices, data privacy considerations, and relevant local regulations or standards.
• Effective communication and client-facing skills, with the ability to explain technical information clearly and provide user training.
• Strong time management, attention to detail, and ability to work independently in field environments.
• Relevant technical diploma or degree in Electronics, Electrical, Telecommunications, or related field; professional certifications in CCTV or networking are an advantage.
• Willingness to travel within the Greater Chennai Area, work on-site at client premises, and comply with safety procedures and company policies.
