Job Description:
Position Title: Snaplogic ETL Developer

Location: Bangalore, India

Experience: Overall 7+ years of experience in IT

Responsibilities:

1. Working closely with business & IT stakeholders to understand ETL requirements and build end-to-end ETL migration processes using Snaplogic
2. Designing and building scalable Snaplogic solutions
3. Writing complex SQL queries, Unix shell commands, and JavaScript
4. Testing and troubleshooting problems in ETL system designs and processes
5. Analyzing and improving existing ETL approaches and solutions
6. Providing Architectural Guidelines
7. Expected to be part of the ideation, design, and deployment of ETL/Snaplogic solutions

Required Skillsets:

1. Minimum 2 to 3 years of relevant experience, should be able to understand and develop complete ETL migration processes
2. Strong business analysis and requirement definition background in data integration (ETL) using Snaplogic
3. Excellent hands-on knowledge in Snaplogic and developing complex ETL jobs
4. Strong ETL and database (Oracle or Snowflake) concepts
5. Ability to build, manage, and deploy SnapLogic incremental and reusable data integration pipelines
6. ETL development experience with SnapLogic focusing on connecting with REST & SOAP APIs for Inbound/Outbound integrations
7. Experience with SnapLogic pipelines writing and reading JSON
8. Experience with JDBC, Snowflake, Azure, Salesforce, Redshift, Zuora, S3 Snaps
9. Experience with expression library, patterns, error pipelines & nested pipelines
10. Knowledge to build complex mappings with JSON path expressions, Python scripting
11. Experience with scheduling tools like Tidal, Autosys/Control-M
12. Experience in using processing snaps like mapper, unique, Aggregate, sort, and join
13. Experienced with implementation methodologies and best practices (e.g. Waterfall, Agile)
14. Experience in establishing criteria for data use/test cases
15. Experience defining and implementing error and exception handling strategies
16. Ability to balance multiple projects and work both independently and as part of a team
17. Strong verbal and written communication skills, presentation, analytical, organizational, and interpersonal skills
18. Strong troubleshooting, problem-solving, and conceptualization skills
19. Strong leadership, customer focus, and influential skills
20. Able to manage own duties including setting priorities
21. The ability to work within a multidisciplinary team
22. Experience in Cloud Migration Projects & Reverse Engineering
23. Good understanding of Cloud Concepts
24. Having good knowledge of Caterpillar policies, standards, and procedures, with broad understanding of Caterpillar’s organization is a plus
