Job summary

Hero MotoCorp offers a Category Engineer-Polymer role in Quality with a focus on audits, CAPA, and supplier enhancements. You will work closely with suppliers to audit products and processes, validate corrective actions, and drive upgradation initiatives and new supplier evaluations within Hero's polymer domain.

Ideal candidates have a strong background in product/process knowledge, FMEA, and advanced problem solving, with 10–20 years cross-functional experience.

Qualifications

• B.Tech or MBA required.
• Cross-functional exposure (10–20 years) in quality/engineering roles.
• Experience in polymer/materials domain is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform product and process audits as per plan and supplier audits.
• Identify root causes, validate actions and monitor effectiveness (CAPA).
• Upgrade SCPs and drive IMP projects and QA rate/PIST improvements.
• Conduct multi-sourcing process audits and evaluate new suppliers.

A purpose driven role for you

Your responsibility will include but not limited to-
1. Product & Process Audit- Product & Process Audit as per Plan (including L2); Audits at Supplier end on basis of Sporadic issues.
PDI Report verification along with marked samples; Die & Mold (Life over) parts inspection for disposal; TA Marking , COP , Emission parameters verification.
2. Problem Analysis & Action Implementation-Identification & Validation of root cause / actions & effectiveness; monitoring for Nonconformance of products for Incoming lot, FI, MI, BUQI & Warranty defects; VTQI & KD analysis & action plan implementation & verification; Ensuring Submission & Approval of CAPA by SCP’s against QFR’s.
3. Supplier Upgradation-Facilitation, Handholding & Upgradation of SCP’s; Planning & Execution of IMP Project / Special Projects at SCP’s end; QA Rate/PIST Improvement of critical parts
4. Multi-sourcing Process Audit and New Supplier Evaluation
