Job summary

Chandigarh News is seeking an experienced billing cashier to manage customer billing at the counter, ensure GST invoicing, and handle cash, card, and UPI payments accurately.

The ideal candidate has 3+ years in billing or cashier roles, proficiency in Tally and MS Excel, and strict cash-handling discipline; local candidates from Chandigarh, Mohali, Panchkula, and Zirakpur are preferred. You will support day-end closing, generate daily reports, and cooperate with the store accountant and HQ.

Qualifications

• 12th pass / Graduate (B.Com preferred)
• 3+ years of billing / cashier experience, preferably in mobile, electronics or retail stores
• Working knowledge of Tally, MS Excel and GST invoicing is a must
• Accurate with cash handling, honest and disciplined
• Candidates from Chandigarh, Mohali, Panchkula and Zirakpur preferred

Responsibilities

• Customer billing on POS / Tally with correct GST invoicing (B2C and B2B invoices)
• Handle cash, card, UPI and consumer-finance (EMI) collections accurately
• Day-end cash closing, EDC settlement and bank deposit
• Prepare daily sales and collection reports in Excel and share with the store accountant / HQ
• Maintain billing records, credit notes, exchange and return entries
• Assist customers at the billing counter in a courteous and professional manner
