Job summary

JobTrade in India is seeking a diligent Cashier for a restaurant to manage cash, card and UPI payments, generate and close bills, and ensure accuracy of items, prices, discounts and taxes. You will handle POS systems and coordinate with service and kitchen teams to resolve billing issues.

The role requires maintaining daily cash records, handling refunds with approvals, and safeguarding confidentiality of sales data while following SOPs and cash-handling policies.

Responsibilities

• Handle cash, card, UPI and other payments accurately.
• Generate and close KOT/BOT and customer bills.
• Check bills for correct items, prices, discounts and taxes.
• Maintain daily cash and payment records.
• Handle POS billing system and troubleshoot basic billing issues.
• Verify cash in hand with system closing at the end of the shift.
• Coordinate with service team, kitchen and management regarding billing issues.
• Process refunds, cancellations and discounts only with proper approval.
• Maintain daily sales and payment reports.
• Ensure proper cash handover to the authorised person.
• Maintain confidentiality of sales and financial information.
• Follow restaurant SOPs and cash-handling policies.
