Job summary

Ujjivan Small Finance Bank is seeking a Branch Operations professional for its Rajpipla branch in Vadodara, Gujarat. The role focuses on accurate cash processing, account maintenance, and responsible cash handling within the branch environment.

You will manage cheque processing, cash disbursements, EMI collections, registers, and daily end-of-day reporting, while engaging customers and identifying cross-sell opportunities for the bank's products and services.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to efficient branch operations via accurate, timely cash transactions and account maintenance.
• Receipt and processing of cheques, drafts, dividend warrants, pay orders, and similar instruments for withdrawals up to limits; issue counterfoil acknowledgements.
• Disburse cash on withdrawal requests and collect cash against deposit challan.
• Collect EMI repayments and maintain entries in the system.
• Maintain inward/outward registers, petty cash registers, assets register; send requisition forms to Regional Head Office.
• Tally cash with books and vouchers daily; report in End of Day Branch report.
• Handle cash and vault operations with the operations officer; cross-sell products to customers during disbursements/deposits.
• Interact with customers, understand requirements, and update on new products and services offered by Ujjivan.

Job description

Role & responsibilities-

• Contribute to the efficient operation of the Branch through accurate and timely processing of cash related transactions and account maintenance.
• Take overall responsibility for cash handling function of the Branch such as:

1. Receipt and processing of cheque, drafts, dividend warrants, pay orders and other like instruments other than bills for withdrawals up to authorized limits and giving acknowledgements in the counterfoil.
2. Disburse cash against withdrawals requests and collect cash against deposit challan
3. Collect repayments as per EMI schedule; maintain necessary entries in system

• Maintain inward and outward register, petty cash register, assets register and send requisition forms to Regional Head Office
• Perform tallying of cash in line with book of transactions and vouchers on a daily basis; and report the same in 'End of Day' Branch report
• Be accountable for handling of cash and operation & maintenance of Branch vault jointly with the operations officer
• Interact with customers during disbursements and deposits, understand their requirements and identify opportunities to cross sell; update the customers on new products and services offered by Ujjivan
