Job description

Primary Purpose of Role:

• Non Alcoholic (Currently Packaged Drinking Water and Carbonated Soda Water) – New vertical been set up. Portfolio requires manpower from the specific industry to control and monitor the PDW and CSW franchisee plant set across India.

• Assessment of PDW & CSW plants as per CIPL guidelines.

• Getting the plant upgradations - Walk through the plant - Suggest all upgradations as per CILP guidelines & ensure adherence.

• Implementation of recommendations suggested in consultation with PDW lead from identification to commercial production.

• Get regular reports and compile to share with internal stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities/Accountabilities:

• Responsible for franchise preliminary, detailed, and follow-up franchise audits at the franchisee location for all PDW and forthcoming SODA facilities in accordance with BIS, FSSAI, and ISO regulations.

• Write a thorough report that will help the franchise identify the gap and provide guidance on how to close it.

• Prioritize and monitor corrective actions, classifying findings into critical, major, and minor categories based on severity.

• Explain to the Business team why a correction is necessary if any capital expenditure is needed to close any findings.

• Assist newly appointed franchisees in understanding the significance of BSI requirements and how to adhere to them.

• Regularly communicate with franchise quality assurance personnel regarding daily operations, offer guidance for improvement, and emphasize compliance with BSI, BIS, FSSAI, and LMR regulations. Implement new regulatory amendments at the franchisee location.

• Assist the brand team with bottle design, qualifying new suppliers for caps, preforms, and labels artwork in accordance with procedure and approvals.

• Ensure that the blown bottle parameter is within specifications during the first production run for every SKU; support plant team training on packaging attribute checks and implications for the process.

• Track all process parameters, review them daily to ensure process flow, and alert plant staff to any unusual signs.

• Facilitate market complaints and implement corrective actions on-site to prevent complaints.

• Conduct training for franchise employees to ensure compliance with FSSAI, ISO, BIS & operational requirements.

• Coordinate with partners to adhere to country regulatory requirements, including internal & external analysis of product/packing materials from FSSAI accredited labs.

• Verify FSSAI schedule 4 (GMP)/FOSTAC/LM adherence during visits.

Qualifications and Experience:

Qualifications: B.E/B.Tech, MSc in Microbiology

Experience: 8-10 years of experience with strong technical knowledge and understanding.
