Job summary

Gitakshmi Group is seeking a Career Counselor to provide guidance to individuals seeking career advice, academic direction, or job placement assistance in Ahmedabad. The role involves assessing interests, skills, and values to help clients make informed decisions and create action plans.

You will administer assessments, guide resume writing and interview prep, and organize career workshops and networking events to connect clients with employers and educational providers.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Psychology, Education, Human Resources, Counseling, or a related field (Master's preferred).
• Certification in Career Counseling (e.g., NCDA, GCDF, or equivalent) is an advantage.
• Proven experience (2-5 years) in career counseling, academic advising, or recruitment.
• Strong interpersonal, listening, and communication skills.
• Ability to motivate and inspire individuals from diverse backgrounds.
• Familiarity with psychometric assessment tools and career guidance software.

Responsibilities

• Conduct one-on-one and group counseling sessions to assess clients career interests, skills, and goals.

• Assist students or clients with career exploration, course selection, and goal setting.

• Support the development and implementation of career development programs.
