Posting Title: Interventional Cardiologist

Responsibilities

• Perform and manage high-risk interventional procedures including coronary angioplasty with stent placement in acute and chronic coronary syndromes.
• Conduct minimally invasive heart valve repair or replacement procedures using transcatheter techniques.
• Execute cardiac ablation procedures to treat arrhythmias, including atrial fibrillation and ventricular tachycardia.
• Implant and manage pacemakers and implantable cardioverter defibrillators (ICDs) for patients with conduction disorders.
• Perform septal myectomy for patients with hypertrophic cardiomyopathy, requiring advanced surgical and procedural expertise.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary cardiac teams, including cardiac surgeons, electrophysiologists, and imaging specialists, to develop comprehensive treatment plans.
• Maintain detailed patient records and ensure compliance with clinical documentation standards and regulatory requirements.
• Stay current with evolving interventional cardiology guidelines, technologies, and best practices through continuous professional development.
• Participate in clinical research, quality improvement initiatives, and hospital-wide cardiac care protocols.
• Provide patient education and counseling on post-procedural care, medication management, and lifestyle modifications.

Requirements

• MBBS degree with MD/DM in Cardiology or equivalent postgraduate qualification in Interventional Cardiology.
• Valid medical license and registration with the National Medical Commission (NMC) or equivalent regulatory body.
• Minimum of 1 year of post-residency clinical experience in interventional cardiology, preferably in a tertiary care or academic medical center.
• Proven expertise in angioplasty with stent placement, including handling complex coronary lesions and bifurcation interventions.
• Demonstrated proficiency in transcatheter heart valve repair and replacement procedures (TAVR, TMVR).
• Hands‑on experience in cardiac ablation for various arrhythmias, including use of 3D mapping systems.
• Experience in implantation and follow-up of pacemakers and ICDs, including lead management and device troubleshooting.
• Competency in performing septal myectomy, including preoperative planning and intraoperative decision‑making.
• Strong understanding of imaging modalities such as intravascular ultrasound (IVUS), optical coherence tomography (OCT), and fluoroscopy.
• Excellent communication, leadership, and teamwork skills with the ability to manage high‑pressure clinical situations.
• Commitment to patient safety, ethical practice, and continuous quality improvement in interventional care.
• Willingness to participate in on‑call duties and emergency interventions as required.
