Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive patient evaluations, including detailed medical history, physical examinations, and interpretation of diagnostic tests.
• Conduct and interpret diagnostic procedures such as echocardiography, TMT (Treadmill Test), Holter monitoring, and stress echocardiography.
• Assist in and perform invasive cardiac procedures including cardiac catheterization, coronary angiography, percutaneous coronary intervention (PCI), and angioplasty.
• Participate in the implantation and follow‑up of pacemakers and other cardiac rhythm management devices.
• Develop individualized treatment plans based on clinical findings and current guidelines.
• Collaborate with cardiologists, nurses, and allied health professionals to coordinate patient care and ensure continuity.
• Maintain accurate, up‑to‑date medical records and ensure compliance with institutional and regulatory standards.
• Stay current with advancements in cardiology through continuous professional development and participation in clinical audits.
• Provide patient education on heart health, medication adherence, lifestyle modifications, and preventive strategies.

Requirements

• MBBS degree with a postgraduate qualification in MD in General Medicine or DNB in Internal Medicine (or equivalent).
• Completion of a recognized residency or internship in Internal Medicine with a focus on cardiology.
• Hands‑on training and proficiency in echocardiography, TMT, Holter monitoring, cardiac catheterization, angiography, angioplasty, and pacemaker implantation.
• Strong understanding of cardiovascular pathophysiology, diagnostic criteria, and treatment protocols.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build trust with patients and colleagues.
