Job summary

Kanary Staffing in Hyderabad, India is seeking an experienced Camunda Workflow Engineer to design and implement scalable business workflows using Camunda BPM. The role focuses on orchestrating end-to-end processes, integrating Node.js services, and exposing workflow-driven APIs securely via Apigee.

You'll work with DMN rules, BPMN models, and ensure reliable logging, monitoring, and versioning of workflows across cloud environments.

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience designing workflows with Camunda BPM (BPMN 2.0).
• Mandatory DMN experience for business rules.
• Experience building Node.js backends (Express or NestJS).
• Strong knowledge of REST APIs and integration patterns.
• Experience exposing APIs via Apigee and securing with OAuth2/JWT.
• Familiarity with logging, monitoring, and debugging distributed systems.
• Experience in cloud environments, preferably GCP.

Responsibilities

Job Summary
We are looking for an experienced Camunda Workflow Engineer to design and implement scalable business workflows using Camunda BPM. The ideal candidate will be responsible for orchestrating end-to-end processes, implementing decision logic using DMN, integrating Node.js backend services, and exposing workflow-driven APIs securely through Apigee.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and implement business workflows using Camunda BPM (BPMN 2.0), including process flows, user tasks, service tasks, and decision tables (DMN)
• Develop and integrate Node.js backend services (Express.js / NestJS) to execute business logic within workflows
• Orchestrate end-to-end workflows across multiple systems, ensuring reliability, scalability, and proper error handling
• Define and implement business rules using DMN (Decision Model and Notation) for dynamic decision-making within workflows
• Expose workflow APIs via Apigee, implementing security policies (OAuth2, JWT, API keys), traffic management, and routing
• Implement process variables, conditional flows, retries, exception handling, and compensation mechanisms in workflows
• Integrate external systems and APIs through Node.js services within Camunda workflows
• Monitor workflow execution using Camunda Cockpit, logs, and metrics, and optimize performance
• Implement logging and audit trails for workflow execution and API interactions
• Collaborate with business analysts, QA, and development teams to ensure workflows meet business requirements and are testable end-to-end
• Maintain workflow versioning, deployment strategies, and lifecycle management

Required Skills

• Strong hands-on experience with Camunda BPM (BPMN modeling and workflow orchestration)
• Mandatory experience with DMN (Decision Model and Notation) for business rule implementation
• Experience in Node.js development using Express.js or NestJS
• Good understanding of REST APIs and system integration patterns
• Experience working with Apigee for API exposure and management
• Knowledge of workflow concepts such as process variables, task lifecycle, error handling, and retries
• Experience implementing authentication and authorization (JWT, OAuth2)
• Familiarity with logging, monitoring, and debugging distributed systems
• Experience with cloud environments (preferably GCP)

Good to Have

• Knowledge of microservices and event-driven architecture
• Familiarity with Docker and containerized deployments
