Switchgear and Control Technics Private Limited(SCTPL) is seeking a Mechanical Design Engineer in Bengaluru to design and develop mechanical components for electrical panels, switchgear, and control systems. You will create 3D models, drawings, and specs using CAM/CAD tools while ensuring robust performance under thermal and mechanical loads.

Collaborate with electrical teams to ensure seamless integration and adhere to IEC/UL/IS standards.

Qualifications

  • B. Tech in Mechanical Engineering required.
  • 3-5 years of experience in mechanical design engineering or related fields.

Responsibilities

  • Design and develop mechanical components, enclosures, frames, and assemblies for electrical panels, switchgear, and control systems.
  • Create detailed 3D models, engineering drawings, and technical specifications using CAM software.
  • Perform design analysis to ensure components withstand loads, thermal conditions, and environmental stresses.
  • Collaborate with the electrical design team to ensure seamless integration of electrical and mechanical elements.
  • Ensure compliance with IEC, UL, IS and company specifications in all mechanical designs.
  • Conduct design validation and prototype testing to verify performance.
  • Identify areas for cost reduction and manufacturing efficiency without compromising quality or safety.
  • Provide technical support to production teams during manufacture.
  • Assist in selecting materials, finishes, and other components to optimize cost and aesthetics.
  • Work with suppliers to source mechanical components ensuring quality and cost-effectiveness.
  • Participate in design reviews to improve overall design and functionality.
  • Maintain thorough documentation of all design work, revisions, and approvals.
