Domain Knowledge:

• Advanced proficiency in Abaqus and Nastran for NVH and Durability analyses
• Strong understanding of brake fundamentals, materials science, and structural mechanics
• Expertise in Complex Eigenvalue Analysis (CEA) and force transfer path/transmissibility
• Knowledge of automotive brake system development, from virtual modeling to manufacturing constraints
• Ability to translate simulation data into actionable design recommendations for cross-functional teams

JD / Responsibilities

• Perform brake NVH work: model preparation, CEA analysis for moan/squeal, and force to body transmissibility
• Conduct NVH/Durability simulations for disc and drum brakes using Abaqus or Nastran
• Identify root causes of undesired vibrations and suggest effective countermeasures for performance improvement
• Correlate simulation results with vehicle and dynamometer test data to ensure accuracy
• Collaborate with design and testing teams to develop cost-effective, optimal brake solutions
