Job summary

WSP India seeks a Diploma in Civil with 3-10 years’ highway project experience to support detailed design and planning activities. You will assist senior technicians with analysis, base maps, plans and CAD drawings, ensuring standards and cross-disciplinary coordination.

You will prepare road plans, cross sections, signage details, and coordinate multiple projects while adapting to diverse cultural environments.

Qualifications

• Diploma in Civil engineering required.
• 3-10 years’ experience on infrastructure projects and highway design.
• Experience with international projects or multicultural teams is an asset.
• Fluent English spoken and written; French is a plus.
• Professional licencing in Canada is an asset.

• Assisting Senior Technician in technical analysis;


• Analyse ground data and prepare base maps;


• Prepare graphic representations of a parcel of land or a portion of road (plan, profile and section);


• Annotate work to be done (barrier, border, pavement marking, etc.);


• Preparation of a highway, roadway anddetour path;


• Plans and profiles, cross sections, typical sections and details


• Temporary or permanent signage design;


• Preparation of an installation slip;


• Other duties as assigned.


• The successful candidate is likely to be having 5-15years’ of highwaywork experience with consultancy firm or developer, International experience or Global design centre are an asset.


• Must have strong abilities to work with CAD, Microstation and Microsoft Office; Knowledge of InRoads, Openroads, Infraworksand Civil3D will be an asset.


• Ability to work on multiple projects at given time.


• Understanding of Canadianstandards and design practices are an asset

Qualifications

• Solid understanding of other road design requirements (e.g. drainage / hydraulic design, environmental design / mitigation measure, engineering surveys, geotechnical investigations and design);


• Solid understanding of Ministry of Transportation, Canadian standards and design practices are an asset;


• Familiarity with Canadianregulatory environment and experience with approval processes is an asset.
