WSP India seeks a Civil CAD Drafter with a Diploma or B.E. in Civil to join our Mumbai team.

You will produce, review and revise AutoCAD, Civil3D and MicroStation drawings for geotechnical and civil projects, ensuring compliance with standards and project requirements. Collaborating with engineers and designers, you will prepare site plans, borehole logs and cross-sections, maintain drawing files, and help develop efficient AutoCAD workflows.

Qualifikationen

• Diploma or Bachelor of Engineering in Civil.
• 4+ years CAD drafting experience preferred.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD and BIM tools (Civil3D, MicroStation).
• Strong English communication is desirable.

• Create, review, and revise detailed AutoCAD drawings for Engineering projects, ensuring compliance with standards and specifications.

• Produce 2D and 3D CAD drawings for geotechnical projects such as foundations, retaining walls, earthworks, tunnels, slopes, ground improvement, etc.

• Prepare site plans, trial pit logs, borehole logs, and geotechnical cross‑sections.

• Assist engineers by preparing geotechnical profiles, sections, and geological models.

• Collaborate with project engineers and designers to gather requirements, clarify project specifications, and ensure accurate representation of design intent.

• Maintain drawing accuracy, quality, and consistency by adhering to organizational and regulatory standards.

• Update, organize, and manage drawing files, ensuring all documentation is accessible and up to date.

• Identify and communicate potential design issues, proposing solutions to ensure optimal project delivery.

• Assist in developing and refining AutoCAD workflows to improve efficiency and standardization within the team.

• Familiarity with geotechnical terminology

• Familiar with Upload/update drawings in Common Data Environments (CDE) like ProjectWise, BIM360, ACC, etc

• Must complete a high-quality self-check of own work with efficiency. Shall follow internal QC processes.

• Perform review of engineering drawings, as per markups made by the Checkers. Verify to ensure drawings modifications are accurately and correctly conducted.

• Reporting progress of work assignment to immediate supervisor. Understands the project schedule and budget requirements.

• Communicate with internal peers and project team and required to answer questions regarding deliverables.

• Capable of multi-tasking and managing multiple projects with the ability to accurately predict the time required to fulfil the individual scopes of work required.

• Be able to perform Material Take-Offs with CAD tool and excel.

• Actively participate in the design and provide input to the design team throughout the design process.

• Ensuring that quality procedures are implemented and maintained.

• Provide regular work status updates, including risks or concerns, to Lead Designer.

• Ensure that Health & Safety is embedded into all work practices in line with company policies.

• Develop expertise and stay up to date of developments in Drafting skills.

• Support the company’s approach to sustainability.

• Be able to communicate in a multi-disciplinary project team internally and externally.

• Be able to communicate to UK and other region.

• Be willing to learn and be polyvalent.

• Identify improvements (where possible) to enhance WSP service to clients. Complete accurate timesheets by set deadline.

Preference will be given to candidates with minimum 4+ year of experience in using CAD tool.

• Proficiency in AutoCAD software and familiarity with other CAD software.

• Proficiency in Civil3D software

• Proficiency in MicroStation software

• BIM tools (Revit, Navisworks)

• Detail-oriented with a strong understanding of Geotechnical drawings

• Excellent organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.

• Effective communication skills, with the ability to work well within a team-oriented environment.

• Possessing a strong desire to learn, cultural awareness, an open-minded outlook, and strong English skills.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Bachelor of Engineering in Civil.
