Job summary

Mercedes-Benz Research and Development India Private Limited in Bengaluru seeks a CAD NX customization engineer to design and deliver standalone/integrated desktop applications, macros, and plugins using .NET and NXOpen APIs. You will gather requirements, drive end-to-end automation initiatives, and coordinate with multiple stakeholders.

You will implement automation for automotive design, contribute to architecture, and ensure code quality and adherence to release timelines.

Qualifications

• Education: B.E., B.Tech, M.E or M. Tech, Mechanical or related streams from reputed university.
• 3-6 years of relevant experience.
• Experience in CAD/CAE Customization, Preferably in Siemens NX.
• Language Experience: C# (.NET), VB, C/C++.

Responsibilities

• Usage of NX-Open API’s for prototyping, development and complex solutions.
• Build and Deploy projects to test environment.
• Creation of Architecture Documentation and Specification.
• Creation of the UI logic.
• Good knowledge of coding standards.
• Familiar with SDLC and Agile (Scrum) methodologies.
• Understand architectural patterns (SOA, microservices, enterprise patterns).
• Develop Quick PoC with latest technologies.
• Strong knowledge on C#/VB .Net, NX.
• Strong knowledge on NX applications like Modelling, Drafting.
• Very good understanding on NXOpen/UFUNC APIs and their functionalities.
• Good knowledge on HTML, XML Data Processing and scripting.
• Good knowledge on AI and deep learning.
• Excellent communication, analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Coordinate meetings for technical decisions and manage customer communication.

Description

Job Summary

• Develop standalone/integrated desktop applications, Macros & Plugins for CAD customization using .NET (C#), VB or other relevant languages.
• Proficiency in scripting, XML or other configurable file formats
• Implementation of automation requirement in the area of automotive design in the space of CAD Customization for RD.
• Involving in requirement gathering to end-to-end delivery of automation, driving program, coordinating projects, executing and aligning to the overall strategy, providing direction to the team, making project plans and schedules.
• Organizing, moderating, coordinating and documenting meetings/sessions to align technical decisions with multiple stakeholders for areas of responsibility
• Negotiating with clients and reviewing changes, administration tasks including report writing, and ensuring that the project adheres to the release timeline.
• Understand and comply with best coding practices to ensure high quality deliveries.

Job Responsibility

In this role, you will be responsible for:
