Job summary

Ciel HR in Chennai is seeking a skilled CAD developer to design, implement, and maintain CAD applications, plugins, and automation tools across the Autodesk ecosystem.

You will work with C#, .NET, and Python to build scalable solutions, integrate with internal systems, and collaborate with engineering and design teams to optimize CAD workflows.

Qualifications

• Proficiency in C#, .NET and Python for CAD development.
• Experience with AutoCAD SDK and AutoCAD APIs.
• Familiarity with Autodesk ecosystem and CAD tooling.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.

Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop and maintain CAD applications, plugins, tools and custom solutions.
• Develop customized solutions using AutoCAD SDK and APIs.
• Work extensively with C# and .NET for CAD application development.
• Develop automation scripts and utilities using Python wherever required.
• Integrate CAD applications with internal systems, databases and external applications.
• Work with the Autodesk ecosystem and its development frameworks and APIs.
• Analyze business and technical requirements and convert them into scalable CAD solutions.
• Customize and extend existing CAD functionality based on project requirements.
• Develop reusable components, automation utilities and productivity-enhancement tools.
• Troubleshoot, debug and resolve issues related to CAD applications and integrations.
• Perform unit testing, debugging, documentation and deployment of developed solutions.
• Collaborate with engineering, design and functional teams to understand CAD workflows and requirements.
• Ensure developed applications follow coding standards, performance and maintainability best practices.
• Provide technical support and enhancements for existing CAD solutions.

• Experience working with Plant Transmission / Plant Design-related workflows.
