The Mechanical CAD Draftsman will be responsible for preparing accurate 2D and 3D technical drawings to support new product research, development, and manufacturing. The role involves converting concept ideas, sketches, and discussions into detailed CAD drawings suitable for prototyping, testing, and production. Key responsibilities include developing general arrangement, sectional, assembly, and part drawings with correct dimensions, tolerances, material specifications, and fabrication notes. The draftsman will prepare drawings for sheet metal components including frames, shutters, stiffeners, and accessories, considering bending allowances, welding details, and finishing requirements.
