Job summary

Weekday AI in Bengaluru seeks a motivated CAD Designer for one of its clients. Freshers or candidates with up to 1 year of experience are welcome for CAD design, technical drawings, and drafting.

A Diploma/ITI or Bachelor in Mechanical, Civil, Architecture, or Design is required. You will create 2D drawings and basic 3D models, update documentation, and ensure designs meet project specs under guidance from experienced professionals.

Qualifications

• Diploma, ITI, or bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Architecture, Design, or a related field.
• Basic knowledge of computer-aided design and technical drafting principles.
• Familiarity with CAD software such as AutoCAD, SolidWorks, CATIA, or similar tools, depending on project requirements.
• Understanding of dimensions, measurements, drawing scales, and basic design concepts.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, sketches, and design instructions.

Responsibilities

• Create and modify 2D drawings and basic 3D models using CAD software.
• Assist senior designers and engineers in preparing technical drawings, layouts, plans, and design documentation.
• Interpret basic design instructions, sketches, measurements, and project specifications to develop accurate drawings.
• Update existing CAD drawings based on feedback, design revisions, and project requirements.
• Ensure drawings follow the required dimensions, tolerances, standards, and formatting guidelines.
• Maintain organized files, drawing records, and design documentation for easy access and future reference.
• Coordinate with team members to understand project requirements and incorporate changes within specified timelines.
• Review drawings for basic errors, inconsistencies, and dimensional accuracy before submission.
• Support the preparation of design presentations, project reports, and other technical documents as required.
• Stay updated on CAD software features, drafting techniques, and relevant industry practices.
• Follow company procedures, quality standards, and project deadlines while handling assigned tasks.
