Tekskills Inc. in Mumbai is seeking an experienced CAD/CAE support engineer to assist engineering teams with design and simulation challenges, driving productivity and quality.

The role provides Level 1 & 2 support for NX, Delmia, LS-PrePost, Vis-Mockup and related tools, troubleshooting installs, licenses and data handling while promoting best practices and strong cross‑functional collaboration. You will document processes, create SOPs, assist in PLM integration with Teamcenter, and contribute

Qualifications

• Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• Proficient with CAD/CAE tools: NX, Vis-Mockup, LS-PrePost, Delmia (Process simulation, Robotics).
• Strong communication, analytical and troubleshooting skills.
• Familiarity with PDM/PLM environments is a plus (Teamcenter).
• Experience with ticketing systems like ServiceNow or Jira.

Responsibilities

• Provide Level 1 & 2 support for CAD/CAE applications like NX, Delmia, LS-PrePost, Vis-Mockup.
• Troubleshoot installation, licensing, file corruptions, performance issues, and integration errors.
• Support CAD data handling including conversion, JT creation, and visualization workflows.
• Assist engineers in solving model issues, file compatibility, and version-related conflicts.
• Guide users on best practices, modeling techniques, and simulation data management.
• Collaborate with infrastructure and PLM teams (e.g., Teamcenter) for CAD-PLM integration support.
• Prepare support documentation, SOPs, FAQs, and training materials.
• Perform regression testing and validation for software updates and patches.

The ideal candidate will provide expert technical support for CAD (Computer-Aided Design) and CAE (Computer-Aided Engineering) software tools, assist engineering teams in solving design and simulation challenges, and contribute to improving engineering processes and productivity.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide Level 1 & 2 support for CAD/CAE applications like NX, Delmia, ANSYS, Hypermesh, Vis-Mockup, JT, and LS-PrePost.
• Troubleshoot installation, licensing, file corruptions, performance issues, and integration errors.
• Support CAD data handling including conversion, JT creation, and visualization workflows.
• Assist engineers in solving model issues, file compatibility, and version-related conflicts.
• Guide users on best practices, modeling techniques, and simulation data management.
• Collaborate with infrastructure and PLM teams (e.g., Teamcenter) for CAD-PLM integration support.
• Prepare support documentation, SOPs, FAQs, and training materials.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Visualization & Conversion: JT formats, OpenJT.
• Other Skills: Strong understanding of CAD data structure, product assemblies, and lightweight visualization.
• Knowledge of PDM/PLM environments is a plus.
• Good communication, analytical, and troubleshooting skills.
• Exposure to automotive or manufacturing domains is highly desirable.
• Familiarity with ticketing systems (ServiceNow, Jira, etc.) for support management.
• Certification in CAD/CAE tools is an added advantage.
